T.R.I.P.

T.R.I.P. is a research project by Dyane Donck Company in collaboration with artist René van Commenée about the phenomenon of the human brain creating unique imagery if a person looks at flashing lights for long enough. An installation with a composition of coordinated lighting and sound is set up in a space where the audience can enter and exit.

The combination of composed music and stroboscopic lighting causes a neural hallucinatory sensation. The brain of the person experiencing T.R.I.P. generates abstract, geometric images. This creates a unique, individual experience: like a psychedelic trip without the use of drugs.
